Next, Dr. Kent Thigpen is a native East Texan. However, he grew up in Omaha, TX and graduated from Paul Pewitt high school in 1979. Moreover, he then attended Texas A&M University where he majored in biochemistry.

Furthermore, Dr. Thigpen is a 1986 graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School. Plus, he has maintained a private practice for 35+ years in Jefferson, TX. However, he brings valuable skills and experience to our practice. Plus, he is proficient and up to date in all phases of general dentistry. Kent has taken countless hours of continuing education in his career and has always been a member of the American Dental Association, East Texas Dental Society, and the Texas Dental Association.

Additionally, Dr. Thigpen has been married to his wife Mary for 40+ years. Moreover, Mary is a graduate of Texas A&M and managed the Dental clinic since its beginning in Jefferson. Plus, their daughter Dr Chelsi Jackson attended Texas A&M and is currently a family physician in Henderson Texas. Furthermore, she is married to Dr. Brent Jackson, also a dentist in Henderson Texas.. Their son Allen Thigpen also graduated from Texas A&M then Rice University with a degree in Chemical Engineering. However, Allen and his wife Megan currently reside in Houston where she attends Dental School. Dr. Thigpen enjoys playing guitar, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his family. Plus, he enjoys taking his grandsons Cash and Tate hunting and fishing, and is a dedicated baseball granddad.
